Grounded Electrical Construction has been awarded the electrical subcontract from Manhattan Construction to perform the division 26 (electrical), division 27 (communications infrastructure) and division 28 (electronic safety and security) scope of work for the new 4-story, 231,735 square foot Virginia Railroad Express Manassas Park Station Parking Expansion project located in Manassas Park, VA. Construction of the parking garage, pedestrian bridge and platform will be performed while the station, platform and rails are open and operational. Once completed, the garage will have 540 above ground parking spaces for commuters, and an additional 196 parking spaces below grade for use by the City of Manassas Park. 

Grounded Electrical Constructions scope of work includes (but not limited to) the following:

  • Analog lighting controls
  • 200KW Generator w/ associated automatic transfer switches and docking stations
  • Gear
  • Fire alarm (elevator monitoring)
  • Area of refuge
  • Infrastructure for Telecommunications & Speakers
  • Security (closed circuit television)
  • Equipment connections
  • Infrastructure for future EV chargers
  • Coordination, short circuit and arc-flash studies
  • Acceptance testing
