St. Agnes 40 West Outpatient Primary Care Clinic

St. Agnes 40 West Outpatient Primary Care Clinic

Location: Catonville, MD

Completed: June 2015

Grounded Electrical Construction provided a new utility service, lighting controls and state-of-the-art lighting fixtures throughout St. Agnes’ new 38,000-square-foot ambulatory and patient-centered medical center. With the Baltimore-area at the epicenter of quality healthcare, the new medical center needed an upscale boost by creating an interior scheme with soft, but ample lighting and installing new, modern lighting fixtures to make the space feel more like a wellness spa than a doctor’s office.

The center, located at 6501-D Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville, embraced a multidisciplinary team approach to healthcare, housing a mix of specialists and services, as well as 18 primary care providers and 2 OBGYN physicians, all under one roof who will work collaboratively to provide comprehensive treatment plans for patients. The services offered include primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, specialists in the areas of orthopedics, neurology, pulmonary, general surgery, pharmacy services, diagnostic imaging, including general radiology, vascular ultrasound, laboratory, phlebotomy, mammography and Dexa scans. GEC installed a new utility service, distribution system, lighting control system, fire alarm system, and installed a high-end, state-of-the-art, contemporary lighting package, upgrading the fixtures throughout the medical suite, office spaces and in the 56 exam rooms. Opaque electric sliding doors, an intricate lighting design hallway, indirect LED-lighting and individual lights were added under the nursing station cabinets for increased functionality.
