Grounded Electrical Construction earns Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors

GEC Wins Excellence Award in the Electrical Construction Over $1 Million category

ABC Award 2014

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Baltimore Metro Chapter announced that Grounded Electrical Construction’s work on the Westfield Montgomery, Corridor Project, has earned the company an Excellence Award in the Electrical Construction Over $1 Million category. Grounded Electrical Construction’s representatives received the award last night during the annual Excellence in Construction Awards celebration at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore in the Inner Harbor. The awards program recognizes outstanding projects throughout the Baltimore metro area built by ABC contractors.

“We are very happy to be recognized by ABC for this project,” said Grounded Electrical Construction Vice President of Pre-Construction Carl Bittorf. “The electrical construction for this retail project was certainly outstanding, and we are very proud of the professionalism and craftsmanship that produced a quality project for Westfield and Montgomery County, Maryland.”

Located in Bethesda, Maryland, the project upgraded 90% of the mall’s lighting, including the installation of chandeliers under existing skylights and challenging circuiting that was installed into the existing drywall ceilings. Grounded Electrical Construction was also responsible for the structural engineering to properly support the large chandeliers under the existing skylights.
