Westfield Montgomery, Corridor Lighting

Westfield Montgomery, Corridor Lighting

Location: Bethesda, MD

Completed: December 2014

Grounded Electrical Construction provided engineering and fabrication of upgraded lighting fixtures throughout the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland. The work, which upgraded 90% of the mall’s lighting, included the installation of chandeliers under existing skylights and difficult wiring that was installed into the existing drywall ceilings. Custom lighting fixtures added another level of complexity, as parts were ordered from an Australian Company that ships from Canada, put through a rigorous United States Customs Inspection and then assembled completely in New Jersey before being transported south to Maryland. The work was completed only during hours the mall was closed (nights) and required minimal impact to shopping and pedestrian traffic flow.

Grounded Electrical Construction received an Award of Excellence from ABC Greater Baltimore for electrical construction over $1 million for the work perfomed on this project! To read more about this award, please click here
